CLASSIFY
UI/UX Design, Frontend Development
Overview: Classify is a website designed for enthusiastic users of Spotify who love to curate playlists or are looking for song recommendations. It uses AI to generate recommended songs and returns curated playlists for users based on one or more preferred genres.
Responsibilities: Designing the user interface, including making creative decisions for branding and deciding the flow between site pages, creating a working prototype, and implementing the prototype.
Timeline: Approximately 1 month
Tools: Figma, React, Javascript, HTML, CSS
Problem
As a frequent Spotify user, we all know that Spotify's recommendations are sometimes subpar and most definitely always recommend you the same list of songs for your playlist. Classify is built for avid Spotify users who want an easier way to discover new music and create playlists without spending hours searching. It's designed for those looking for inspiration, whether that means exploring specific genres or generating playlists based on the music they already love. By making the process more intuitive, Classify helps users find songs that fit their tastes while introducing them to new artists and sounds.
Ideation: Sketching

Our process begins by sketching out the sitemap, mapping the flow between pages, and drafting a rough layout.
Design: Low-Fidelity Wireframes

The next step is creating lo-fi wireframes using Figma. We designed simple layouts for each screen to establish a basic layout and explore different possibilities. This stage allowed us to quickly test multiple variations, gather feedback from the rest of our team, and refine the design through multiple iterations before moving forward. This stage requires close collaboration with backend developers to align our ideas on how the site should function and what features are needed, to ensure a clear plan before development begins, allowing the backend team to start implementing core functionality.
Design: High-Fidelity Wireframes

The last step before development was the high-fidelity prototype, where we finalized the design choices like typography, colors, and overall style. We also added interactive elements to simulate user flow and make sure everything felt smooth and cohesive before moving forward with development.
The website is still currently under development... Thanks for your interest!
