SAFE-T: Safety on the MBTA

Overview: Safe-T is a mobile app designed to make traveling on the Boston T safer and more accessible for all riders, especially for vulnerable groups such as women, the disabled, the elderly, and LGBTQ individuals. While providing essential transit features like train schedules, real-time alerts, and navigation, Safe-T goes beyond by integrating safety-focused tools. Users can access safety ratings for stations, quickly contact authorities, receive crowd-sourced safety updates, and more. Safe-T ensures that every commuter can navigate the T with greater confidence and peace of mind.
Responsibilities: Researching safety and accessibility issues on the Boston T, developing solutions, analyzing competitors, and designing an intuitive UX/UI to enhance user experience.
